Love is a Choice

We must train ourselves to love. If you don’t have love, you can’t be His vessel. Love moves God’s heart.

Love is giving and being grateful

1 Corinthians 13:1-3
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.

If you don’t have love in your heart, the Holy Spirit cannot dwell in your heart. What causes love to die? Unforgiveness. Protecting yourself (in an ungodly way). Holding onto misunderstandings. These things cause isolation and loneliness. If you hold onto unforgivness, it will bring anger, rejection, and bitterness.

God doesn’t want us to walk in anger and bitterness. He wants to give us a new heart and spirit, a new heart filled with love and obedience and giving. When we have love in our hearts, they will be warm and tender. When you have love, you can give love to your family and those around you.

Love is a choice. First you choose to love. Then you train yourself to love.

Train yourself to overcome bitterness. Train yourself to overcome anger. Train yourself to overcome unforgiveness. Heaven is for overcomers. Overcome through love.

God bless you,
