Love is Abundant

In 1 Corinthians 13:1-8, Paul describes love in 15 different ways.

Love is big, covering a multitude of sin.

Hatred is small. Love is abundant.

If you have a small heart, a heart that cannot see beyond your own needs, hurts, desires, or plans, you are operating in selfishness and hatred. Love is abundant. A heart that is filled with love is very big, abundant, giving, and sacrificing.

If we have received God’s abundant love, we can give it. If you don’t have love to give, it means that you need to fill yourself up with the love of God so that you have something to give.

John 13:1
Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

Jesus loved His disciples all the way to the end of His life. He knew at this supper that Judas would betray Him and that within 24 hours He would die. But He wasn’t concerned about Himself; He was concerned about them.

John 13:2-12 shows us that Jesus used His last day on earth to teach and train His disciples. He overcame all fear and concern for Himself by serving others.

If you love God, you will be able to show love to others, all the way to the end of your life. You will be able to have a good ending.

God bless you,
