Train yourself to give, to serve others, to obey, and to love.

Ezekiel 36:26-28
²⁶ I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. ²⁷ I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. ²⁸ Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

God can remove your stony heart and give you a heart of love. Jesus came to teach us to love.

God created us to share love with Him, but we often reject God in our pursuit of happiness in the flesh.

John 3:16
¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Jesus’ death shows us the ultimate love, the essence of love. True love requires sacrifice and giving.

The essence of love is dying for others.

Make the choice to push the stones of bitterness, selfishness, anger, and pride out of your heart. Push out the stones of unforgivness and arrogance. Put Jesus into your heart. Put the Word of God into your heart.

Jesus showed us in Luke 7:44-47 that this woman’s love brought forgiveness to her life.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 shows us what love is. Love is patient, long-suffering, kind. When you train yourself to have love, you will have these characteristics. You will be stable and patient and kind.

Remember, love is sacrifice. Love is dying for one another, just like Jesus.
