The reason we need to have faith is that faith is our hope. Faith is very important because without faith, people are corrupt, evil, wicked, hopeless, and lost. Without faith, people lose their minds and will do whatever their flesh wants to do. People in this world need hope and faith in the Lord.
Without faith we try to be good, but it’s difficult. We need to study the Bible and follow the example of Jesus Christ. Faith comes when we study the Word. Faith comes when we hear the message.
When faith grows in our hearts, we can hate all evil and separate from this world.
People aren’t praying during this time of trial, not because they are lazy, but because they don’t have faith. We are in a critical time. We desperately need to pray and ask God to heal our land. People struggle to pray because they don’t have faith; they don’t believe prayer will work.
Scripture shows us that when we have faith and pray in faith that God will do miracle work. If we have faith the size of a mustard seed, we can move the mountain.
Luke 17:1-6
1 Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! 2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. 3 Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.” 5
And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” 6
So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
Faith can revive this world and conquer sin. Faith brings healing. Faith brings courage. Faith brings deliverance. The size of your faith doesn’t make a difference. So what does? True faith makes the difference. If you have true faith in God, you believe that God can step in and turn around every situation in your life, our city, your country, and this world. Right now, God wants his church to pray, His believers to pray.
If we have faith, we can open up the windows of heaven. If we use that faith, we can bring change to this nation, to this world. There is nothing to be discouraged about right now. No matter what you see in the news and in the media, God is still watching over us. God is still in charge. He will not give up on His people. He is all about people. He came to earth for people, because He loves people. He will not forsake us. He will not let people suffer for long. Soon, all of these things will stop. By His love and grace and power, we will walk in victory once again.
God says, “Fear not! Even though you walk through the water or the fire, you will not be destroyed.” We must believe His Word. We must trust Him.
Isaiah 43:2
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.
