God didn’t create beggars in the Garden of Eden

God did not create beggars in the garden. The very first people, Adam and Eve, were very prosperous. Before God created man, He created food. The garden was a lush and beautiful place, filled with precious jewels, beautiful trees, animals, and rivers. He made abundant provision for humans.

Genesis 1:17-28
17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20 Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” 21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

God created the earth with abundance. He filled the earth will good food and an abundance of treasure. Every good thing that we have comes from heaven. Everything was in the garden. After He created something, He said it looked good.

God put everything in order and then brought man to live in that place. When we prosper, God is pleased. It looks good to Him. When God sees that we eat good food and live a good life and give to the poor and take care of others, it looks good to Him.

God has provided for us, but Satan has come to steal from us. So we are on trial with the devil. Our lawyer is Jesus. The Father God is the judge, listening to our case. Our argument is that we are children of Abraham, children of Jesus, inheritors of what was given to us by God and stolen by Satan.

How did we lose prosperity and blessing? Disobedience. What is the key to bringing it back? Obedience. We must be obedient to God to restore what we have lost.

Blessings are conditional. Everything was there for Adam and Eve until they disobeyed God. Blessings are conditional based on our obedience.

God gave Adam and Eve charge over the Garden, and told them to take dominion over the garden and all of creation. He made them managers, rulers over the Garden.

Genesis 1:27-28
27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

We must take dominion over disease, poverty, and disaster. But first, if you want to take dominion over those things, you have to take dominion over your flesh.

When Eve sinned, she allowed her flesh to take over. She couldn’t take dominion over the serpent because she didn’t take dominion over herself. That must come first. If you don’t take dominion over yourself, you can’t take dominion over anything else.

God wants His people to take back whatever the enemy has stolen from us. He wants us to take dominion over all things.

Today is the day to take dominion back. We are in the courtroom right now. We are in a hearing, presenting our case before God. We are the inheritors of the Garden and God’s provision. We want to do the work of God but we don’t have the financial ability to move forward with the ministry and plans of God. We have repented of our sin and we want to take back what the devil has stolen from us.

God bless you,
