Your children will be blessed because of your faithfulness

God made a covenant with King David, to bless him and his descendants forever. His covenant was that they would have the throne forever. When you are faithful to God, your children will be blessed.

2 Samuel 7:16
16 And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.”’”

You may not be rich and be able to pass down an inheritance or lands or lots of money. But you can pass down a blessing.

King David was faithful to God. His children were blessed because of his faithfulness. God made a covenant with his children because of his lifestyle and his relationship with God.

When you give to God, you plant good seed into your life and into your children’s lives. Your faithfulness to God will bring blessing and protection to their lives.

In time of trial, when things look impossible, we need to be like King Abijah. Preach the Word. Be faithful to God. Hold onto the covenant of salt. When enemies surround you, do not look at your environment or circumstances. Trust God. Rely on God. Cry out to God. That is the way that God wants us to handle situations: trust Him with your life, with your future, with your children, with everything.

As King Abijah preached the Word, God fought his battle.
As King Abijah cried out to God, He struck down his enemies.

When the enemy attacks you, tell the enemy that you have victory because God is on your side. People panic in the face of trial and attack because they don’t believe God is with them. If you believe God is with you, you can have strength and courage and peace in the face of attack. If God is with you, when you cry out to Him, you will have victory.

In 2 Chronicles 13, the priests blew the trumpets. The general didn’t blow the trumpet. The army didn’t blow the trumpet. The priests did. What does that mean? To the Israelites, the blowing of the trumpets means, “God is with us.” When the priests blew the trumpets, it was a reminder of the presence and power of God working on their behalf.

In Joshua 7, when the priests blew the trumpets and the people cried out to God, the wall fell down before them. When we cry out to God, great things will happen.

The best thing you can do for your children is to serve and obey God. They will have to make their own choice to receive the blessing of God. You must pray and live as a good example in their lives but you can’t make that choice for them. If they choose to be obedient, they will receive the blessing of your faithfulness.

God bless you,
