Faith in Jehovah God

Some people believe only when they see a miracle. They want to see and touch and smell and make sure that they feel secure before they believe. We don’t want to be like that. We need to believe God’s promises and everything that God says in the Bible even if we don’t see anything. We must move forward with Gods’ promise and vision even if we don’t see anything. If you wait until you can see and touch and feel, you will be too late.

Even in the dark, you must believe. Your faith is light. Your hope is light. That faith will bring light to the darkness.

We cannot give up. We must believe every day.

God honors those who believe, even when they don’t see anything.

Why does God dishonor those who only believe when they see? They are actually believing and trusting in idols. That sign and wonder becomes an idol to them.
God hates idols. The thing they see is an idol to them. God wants us to believe in Him. Anyone can believe in something they can see. Only His chosen ones can believe in something they cannot see.

Those who only believe when they see will have faith that is always shaking. Only believing when you see a sign is very insulting to God.

Believe the promise of God even when you don’t see any evidence.

The prophets pointed out the sin in Israel. At the same time, they preached about the love and forgiveness of God. A true prophet speaks about God’s judgment and also about His love (Isaiah 1:18, Isaiah 30:18).

What kind of God do we serve?
1. Jehovah

Exodus 3:13-16
13 Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?”
14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” 15 Moreover God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’ 16 Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and say to them, ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared to me, saying, “I have surely visited you and seen what is done to you in Egypt;

Jehovah means, “I am that I am.” This means that no one created God.

Our God is a God of salvation.

What kind of God do we serve?
2. God who answers prayers (Micah 7:7)
3. God who will cause us to rise
4. God of light (Psalm 119:105)
5. God of justice
6. God of guidance

God guides us to light, to the righteousness of God (Psalm 23:3), to truth (John 16:13), to the glory of God, and to still waters (Psalm 23:2).

We should always be encouraged and have hope in God. Micah tells us that the Lord will be a light to him in times of darkness.

Micah 7:8
8 Do not rejoice over me, my enemy;
When I fall, I will arise;
When I sit in darkness,
The Lord will be a light to me.

This scripture is very encouraging to us. We should always have faith in God.

God bless you,
