Everlasting Faith

Micah means, “Who is like the Lord?”

Micah was a prophet for Judea. His heart was broken because he saw that the leaders and the people had turned away from God. They had idols in their lives. They weren’t seeking God. Prophet Micah saw that Israel was going in the wrong direction. His heart was hurting and grieving. We see this in Micah 7:1-13.

During this time, the people of Israel were very prejudiced against the poor and needy. They had turned away from God and were very corrupt.

This is happening in our nation right now, too. When we see this in our nation, we need to have a broken heart, like Micah. God is near to those who have a broken and contrite heart.

Micah said that he would look up to God and have faith in times of trial. That is what we need to do as well.

How can we use faith to rise again?

Jesus wants you to use the faith that is already in you. We all have some kind of faith. Faith to believe that you will have a better future. Faith to believe that Jesus is going to touch you in some way when you study His Word. Faith that Jesus is going to do something good in your life. Jesus wants you to use that faith that you have.

What kind of faith do we need to have?
#1 Everlasting faith

Micah 7:1-6 speaks about everlasting faith. Even if we can’t find anyone else who loves God, He still wants us to have faith. Even if your children turn away from God, you must have faith. Even if your family comes against you, have faith in God.

Each person has to have his or her own relationship with God. You cannot carry the cross of Jesus for your children or your spouse. When your children are young, you can help them and guide them and lead them, but you cannot carry their cross forever. They have to make their own decision to serve God. They have to carry their own cross.

Even if something tragic happens in your life, have faith in God. Even if you don’t see any fruit during the time of harvest, God wants you to have everlasting faith. Just look up to God Have faith. That is everlasting faith. Faith no matter what the circumstance. Faith in the time of trial.

God bless you,
