Families will have unity and peace through God. God is the One who builds the home, the church, and the kingdom. God is the One who lives through us.

Psalm 127:1
¹ Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain.

2 Samuel 7:16
¹⁶ And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.”’”

A true family will serve God together. If you have a heart after God, a straight heart, your family will follow God.

This is the kind of family that God desires: 

1. A family that keeps the Sabbath day – goes to church on Sunday

Those who broke the Sabbath in the Old Testament were stoned. We come together to worship God on Sunday because that is the day that the Holy Spirit came down.

A family that honors God will dedicate the Sabbath to Him.

When we come together, we encourage one another and recharge our spiritual batteries. We come together to refresh our spirits, to worship God, and to love each other and God. This is also what sets us apart from the world.

Missing Sunday, God’s day, over and over again will cause your spiritual batteries to die. You will feel empty and lost.

2. A family that gives tithe and offering to God

God gives us 100%. He only asks for 10% back. God gives us seven days in the week. He only asks for one day, dedicated to worship and serve Him.

Teach your children to honor the Sabbath day, to keep it pure and holy, to honor God. Teach your children to give tithe and offering to God. We need to have the attitude of giving to God when we come to His temple

3. A family that prays

God wants families to come together and pray. If you want to have a happy, joyful family, teach your children how to pray. The Bible talks about prayer from Genesis all the way to Revelation. Worship is also a form of prayer. It is very important to teach your children to worship and to pray.
