Fight the Good Fight

Isaiah 5:20
20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

There are so many people who are deceived about what things are good or evil. When God speaks to them, they think it is evil because they don’t want to change their lives, but those things that God speaks are good.

The things of this world are proclaimed as good, but we know that they are evil. Even Christian people struggle to say what is evil and what is good. We need to be bold and strong, to speak the truth boldly.

Those who say that good is evil and evil is good are cursed.

Don’t let your church attendance be a decoration in your life. Make sure that your church attendance is part of your relationship with Jesus Christ. Don’t just come to church when you have extra time or when you feel like it. Make it a commitment and part of your relationship with God. You will fail in your walk with Christ if you only fellowship with Him when it’s convenient or when you aren’t on vacation or when you aren’t doing something with your family.

If you love God, you will honor the Sabbath day; you will be faithful to go to church and spend time in His presence.

The Christian walk is a fight. We are fighting the good fight of faith.

Let’s not be blinded by this world. Don’t let this world brainwash you with the messages on TV, the Internet, and social media. Don’t believe the message that good is evil and that evil is good.

We need to appreciate and love one another. We need to appreciate the things that God is doing in our lives.

Make sure you have a good ending. If you don’t have a good ending, every good work that you’ve done along the way will be forgotten – it will be meaningless. We are surrounded by people who are compromised and lukewarm. Don’t become like them. Bring fire to their lives. Don’t let them pull you down.

Life has become very comfortable for some people. The way that they serve God has become very comfortable. Don’t let yourself get rusty in your service to God. When you get to heaven and tell Jesus about all of your good works, will He say, “Well done, good and faithful servant” or will He say “Depart from Me, I never knew you”?

The way you serve God today is what counts. The way you worship God today is what counts. Your past doesn’t count. How much hunger and thirst do you feel for God today?

Ezekiel 36:26
26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.

God will give us a new heart and a new spirit. We will walk in the power of resurrection.

God bless you,
Pastor Sun East

  1. I need to share this with my family. This has been a really rough year already for us. My parents need to move into a nursing home and my teenagers are being bullied at school. We need prayers please.

    1. Susan,

      There are times in our lives when things seem so difficult, but rest assured God is greater than our rough times. I pray that Jesus will give you a new strength and wisdom to overcome every trial in your life. He is greater than our needs, and know that He will never leave you nor forsake you.

      God bless you,
      Jason

  2. This teaching is spot on. As the people of GOD we must be separate from this world. We can not be a light to this world if we become darkness with them. Thank you Pastor Sun for this teaching.
