Revelation 17:1-5 tells us about the harlot which sits on many waters.
This harlot is fornicating with the kings of the people. History shows us that politicians misuse religion. They say that they are separate, but they use them for their own benefit.
Religion and politics will never be separate. In the Bible, every great king had a powerful prophet next to them, praying with and for them and giving them counsel and wisdom. Even in this nation, many presidents have had other godly men next to them, standing with them. Billy Graham has ministered to many presidents through his life.
Those presidents, those great men and women, who reject the people of God and the message from God will suffer. They will make mistakes. A nation whose leader is led by the Lord and takes counsel from the servants of the Lord will prosper.
Ungodly religion will destroy a country.
The Word of God describes a multitude of people as water.
Jeremiah 51:13
O you who dwell by many waters,
Abundant in treasures,
Your end has come,
The measure of your covetousness.
Isaiah 8:7-8
7 Now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up over them
The waters of the River,[a] strong and mighty—
The king of Assyria and all his glory;
He will go up over all his channels
And go over all his banks.
8 He will pass through Judah,
He will overflow and pass over,
He will reach up to the neck;
And the stretching out of his wings
Will fill the breadth of Your land, O Immanuel.
God prophesied through Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, Enoch, John, and many other people. God always gives a warning before He does anything. Why? He loves us and wants His children to be prepared and get ready. God is warning us that the prophecy of the end times is coming soon. We need to be ready.
