Revelation chapter 16, part 11

Revelation 16:11 says that they refused to repent and continually cursed God, just like Cain. After Cain committed sin, God gave him the chance to repent when He asked him, “Where is your brother?” But Cain refused to repent. Cain killed Abel because he was jealous. When God asked him where Abel was, Cain said that he was not his brother’s keeper.

They did not repent, but cursed God like Cain. Cain was angry and lost a great blessing. In Genesis 4, when God blessed Abel because he had a heart after Him, Cain was very angry.

God loves everyone, no matter who you are, but He hates sin. Jesus came to save everyone, not just good people. I am qualified to get saved because I am a sinner. Jesus came to save sinners. We need to remember that God’s love for us in unconditional, but His blessings are conditional upon our obedience. He will love you no matter what you do, but if you want to be blessed, you must obey Him.

We are our brother’s keeper. This means that we must speak the truth to them, in love. We must help our brothers and sisters, watching over them to help them. If you love someone, you will watch over them and make sure that they don’t kill themselves by their choices. You will speak the truth to them, even if it might hurt their feelings. You will help them, even if they don’t want to.

Cain lost a great blessing due to his anger. Pharaoh’s anger caused the death of his firstborn. Judas became so angry that he betrayed Jesus.

If we dishonor and disobey God, there will be a punishment. (Leviticus 26:21) God takes disobedience very seriously. (Proverbs 15:10)

When God speaks to you, you must change quickly. Don’t wait until God’s judgment.

You know, if you have children, that you will warn them against something like touching the stove. If they continually test you and try to touch the stove, you will slap their hand before they can get burned. Why? Not because you hate them, but because you love them. God is the same way. He will warn us first, and then slap our hands away in order to protect us. Do you want God to keep silent with you? No. If God doesn’t care enough to say something to you to protect you, then there is a problem. If you never hear from your spouse or your children, then there is a problem. We should have communication with God, either through an audible voice or through the Word of God and through prayer. When God speaks to you, listen. Change quickly. Don’t wait until He punishes you.

There were times when Pharaoh said that he would let the children of Israel go, but he didn’t. He spoke like he repented, but there was no action, no fruit. So the judgment continued. By one man’s disobedience and rebellion, the whole land of Egypt suffered. By Adam and Eve’s sin, all of mankind has suffered. One man can bring a blessing or a curse to many others. Your obedience can save millions of souls.

God bless you!
