Revelation chapter 16, part 5

In Genesis 6, God still wanted to work with people, have them multiply, and bless the earth. Even in this judgment, God protected the fish. But in Revelation 16:3-4, in the second and third bowl judgment, all of the fish and other sea creatures will die. The water will turn to blood because of sin.

The sin of Egypt caused the waters of the Nile to turn to blood (Exodus 7:13-20). Romans chapter 6 tells us that the wages of sin is death. Sin brings a curse to our lives. Sin caused the waters to turn to blood in Egypt. Sin will cause the waters to turn to blood during the time of the tribulation.

Verse 13 and 14 tell us that Pharaoh’s heart was hardened. He refused to let the people of God go. When you try to hurt the people of God, He will step in and take revenge. That’s why God says that revenge is His. He will take care of you.

Pharaoh did not want to give the people of God their freedom, so God stepped in to set His people free. When you fight with God, He will always win. Don’t fight with God. When God tells you to do something, you must obey. When God has a plan, you do not want to interfere with it. When God has a plan, Satan will try everything in his power to try to defeat that plan, but you must trust in God. Trust in God’s timing. God will never give up His plan. Don’t try to fight with God. Don’t challenge or mock God. Just surrender to God. He will always win.

Revelation 16:4 says, Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.” Even if the ocean water turns to blood, they would still be able to drink the river water. This judgment is against the river waters. This world will become totally dead. There will be no water for drinking, washing, or cooking.

You can live without food for a while, but you cannot live without water. In the time of tribulation, the waters will turn to blood. Can you imagine? You complain when you can’t take a shower for a couple of days. Without water, you will not be able to take a shower and wash your hair. You will not be able to drink the water. You will not be able to cook.

When Jesus died on the cross, His last words were “It is finished”. His assignment was finished. In the book of Revelation, this world will be finished.

But we can do something right now. We should not live in the past. We should not dwell on the events of the past. It doesn’t matter how many times you committed sin. When you come to God, you are born again. When you come to God, all of those old things have passed away. You are a new creation. Satan will try to remind you about your past, but God will not do that. God doesn’t look at your past, either the good or the bad things. He looks at you the way that you are right now. You cannot dwell in the past, either in the sin that you committed or the good things that you have done. Your relationship with God right now is what matters.

God bless you!

  1. We must do our very best to stay focused on God and stay present each moment! It is when our mind starts to wonder that Satan can take advantage of us and begin to bring pain and guilt into our soul. Resist his tactics! Resist his thoughts, resist his way of thinking. Keep your joy, keep your peace!

  2. It is so very true that we must not go against any plan of God, we must just immediately obey!
