Be Careful what you Eat!

There are many people who are suffering with disease. Many times it is because of our diet, what we eat. God is very detailed. He even tells us what kinds of food that we should eat. Why? God cares for us and wants us to be healthy and strong. We need to be strong so that we can serve Him.

What kind of food does God permit us to eat?

Leviticus 11:1-23 tells us to avoid certain seafood and pork products. In Daniel 1:4-17, Daniel and his three friends asked the king to test them with vegetables and water.

You may have messed up and eaten foods that you shouldn’t have been eating. You may have filled your body with junk food. Now what?

According to Mark 16:15-20, it doesn’t matter what kind of disease you have. When you come to God, He can heal you. When believers lay hands on the sick, the Bible says that they will recover. We must pray the Word of God over our bodies and receive our healing by faith.

Many scriptures tell us that believers can be healed. There is no reason to continue on in disease. God says that we are healed. We need to believe that we are healed. (James 5:13-16)

The devil brings disease, but Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. Jesus is still here in the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is still working among us, healing sickness and disease. Why do we not believe? We must trust and believe that Jesus is here to heal us. (1 John 3:8)

Sometimes we try to hide our sickness or disease because we don’t want people to think badly of us. Sometimes you have a disease because of your sin or mistakes, but sometimes God allows it to wake up people, to draw them to Himself, and to receive glory for their healing. When you get sick, do not hide it. Confess it to your brethren and let other believers pray for you.

When God corrects you, showing you how to change so that you can be healed, receive. Do not reject correction from God, from the Bible, from your pastor, or from your brothers and sisters in the Lord. Do not justify your sin. Receive correction. Repent for your mistakes and sin. Pray. Change. God will honor your obedience and humble heart.

God bless you!

  1. If we do not receive from the Lord when He corrects us, we may as well not listen to Him at all!

  2. I think we all desire to be healthy in body, mind and spirit… the trouble is… it’s a long road and we tend to be lazy, lose motivation often and allow our flesh to rule. Sad.
