Revelation chapter 14, part 4

These angels will remind people of the preaching of the 144,000 and the two witnesses. God wants people to be part of the final harvest. Revelation 14:8 says “And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.””

Babylon will fall. Babylon is the city of the antichrist. We do not know exactly where the headquarters of the antichrist will be, but we will know soon. Some say Rome. Some say Babylon. When it happens, we will know. But the kingdom of the antichrist will not survive for long. God will destroy the antichrist’s headquarters with an earthquake.

How did the people fornicate? Idolatry. James 4:4 tells us that friendship with the world is enmity with God. Make sure that you are not friends with this world or worldly people. God is looking at your heart to see who you belong to. He doesn’t want you to have friendship with this world. If you do, you are considered an enemy of God.

Sometimes we feel sorry for people in this world, but wrong mercy will make you God’s enemy. We must discern between good and evil, judgment and blessing. We should not compromise with sin. We should not give wrong mercy. We should not be friends with this world or the people in this world. Time is short. You do not want to be the enemy of God. Be serious with God. Let’s God’s fire come down from heaven and fill you. Let the Word of God, your prayer life, your commitment to God, and the Holy Spirit stir up the passion in your heart for God. God is tired of lukewarmness. God will not come and stir up your heart. The Holy Spirit within you will stir up your heart. Your actions, your dedication, your prayer life, your commitment will stir up your heart. Your sin alone will kill the fire of God within you.

In 606 BC, King Nebuchadnezzar ruled Babylon. In 539 BC Babylon taken over. King Belshazzar ruled over Babylon, but his kingdom was taken over by another. Why? He came against God and His anointing. He defiled the things of God by using them in his feast, worshipping other gods. (Daniel 5:1-30)

God’s Word through Daniel came to pass. The kingdom of Media and Persia defeated Babylon. (Jeremiah 51:31-39) When God speaks, no one can come against God.

Sooner or later, the pleasure of the flesh will end. Time is short. This is not the time to live for the pleasure of our flesh. When Jesus comes back, He will come back for those who serve Him, love Him, and follow Him. Time is critical. We must get serious with God. We must tell people about Jesus. We must embrace this world with the love of Jesus Christ.

God bless you!

  1. I loved what you said about “wrong mercy” Pastor Sun Hui East, that is so very true… it’s far too easy to get caught up in feeling sorry for the wrong person (someone who is willfully sinning and damaging others that are trying to follow the Lord).

  2. I agree that this in not the time to live for ourselves and what pleases us in a worldly or physical sense. I do know that it is time to seek the Lord and realize what’s going on around us in a spiritual sense.

  3. It is so VERY true that we should always be aware that certain times will pass, times of selfishly pleasing ourselves… then we are left with either the meaninglessness or we are left with bad consequences of having hurt ourselves or others.

  4. Reading this post reminds me of my own failures, yet encourages me that it will all be OK because of God.
