Revelation chapter 14, part 2

Revelation 14:2 says, “And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps.”

“Voice of many waters” is God’s authority, power, and majesty
“Voice of loud thunder” is God’s truth
“Sound of harpists playing their harps” means that God’s voice is like music, like a melody

People’s testimonies of heaven say that everything in heaven has melody. Heaven is full of music. God loves worship. He loves music. How can we not sing songs of worship to God? How can we not worship God? How can we not sing psalms to God? God is very sad when we don’t worship. He said that if we don’t praise Him, that He will make the rocks cry out.

This day, a lot of music has been defiled. Even Christian music doesn’t refer to Jesus, Lord, Savior, or the blood of Jesus. It’s not like it used to be. The names of Jesus have all been removed. How can you tell if they are singing to their boyfriend or girlfriend, spouse, or friend? We need to give all glory and honor to our God. We need to make sure that we worship Him because He is God. He is our lover. We are His bride. We are married to Him. He is our King; He is the only one we need to worship. He is the only one who will never forsake us.

If you are suffering from loneliness or depression, you need to remember that Jesus is always there for you even when people in your life come and go. God is everywhere. He is in charge. He is the one who will bring victory and success and salvation and deliverance and healing to your life. He is the one who will change your life. Remind one another that God is in charge. Remind one another that you don’t have to go through times of depression because God is with you. He doesn’t want you to feel alone or depressed. He wants you to have an abundant life. He wants you to have peace and joy and happiness.

How does God use music? To comfort us, to bring peace, to take away fear, and to help us to be settled.

Revelation 14:3-5

3 They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth. 4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.

This song that they sing is so beautiful. They probably want to sing it more and more. Sometimes praise and worship is like that, you just want to sing more and more. Sometimes praise and worship ends too soon.

We should not put God in a box, restricting His movement. You should not give God an allotted time to move and work in your life. How would you like it if your children or your parents gave you a time slot to spend with them? You need to give your time to God. Make time for God. Make time for your loved ones. Give God your time, without limit or restriction.

God bless you!

  1. I know that our hearts and minds should constantly be full of worship. When they are, our souls feel light and joy is in our countenance! Lord, please forgive me for letting go of daily worship, my joy is complete when I am praising You!

  2. So often, it is truly about “control”. I feel that some churches don’t want to get uncomfortable, so if they allow too much talk or teaching about the Holy Spirit or “end times” or other important topics, then their audience might get upset and stop attending…

  3. I keep reading this blog because it is very interesting, I don’t buy into Christianity, but I am seeing the logic of what’s happening in the world being reflected in the book of Revelation

  4. I know that our church services would feel much more like we are really in the presence of the Lord if we allowed the Holy Spirit to move in His timing! The truth is that we have other priorities on Sundays (things like ball games and going out to eat so I’m always kind-of glad when service is over … don’t know if I wan to devote all that extra energy to God.)

  5. I love music that comes from God, it makes me feel different than the regular stuff on the radio!

  6. I know music is powerful, I am just surprised at how much focus is put on in in Revelation
