Revelation chapter 13, part 5

God is giving us this message to let us know that a time of tribulation is coming. There will be a price to pay for our sins. Jesus is coming back. We need to be prepared. A long time before Jesus was born, God revealed His plans for the end times to Daniel. Then God revealed His plans to John, who wrote the book of Revelation. They didn’t know each other, but everything that God showed them matched. Why? Because God showed them both. He revealed His plans to them.

God spoke about the time of tribulation in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4. God always reveals His plans to His children. This will come to pass.

Revelation 13:2

2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.

John saw a great image. That great beast is the same beast that Daniel saw.

Revelation 13:11

11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.

This beast, coming out of the earth, is the false prophet, who is Satan’s imitation of the Holy Spirit. Satan always counterfeits the things of God. He will try to copy the trinity with the antichrist and the false prophet. These three (Satan, the antichrist, and the false prophet) will come together to persecute the people of God.

“Spoke like a dragon” means that Satan will pour out all of his authority and power into the antichrist. The devil, Lucifer, lost the battle in heaven, so will try to redeem himself through the antichrist.

These ten horns, ten nations, are those that conquered Rome. These seven heads have names written on them. These nations which have come against God will come together and unite.

When this dragon comes to the earth, these 10 nations will already be united and working together. Satan will put all of his hope and future into the antichrist, to redeem his position. The dragon lost his battle and was kicked out of heaven. The earth is now the dragon’s headquarters. That is why the devil, the red dragon, is going to put all of his energy, dream, strength, and hope into the antichrist, to cause the antichrist to conquer the world for him. He is seeking to find fulfilment in the antichrist, which is why he will pour out all of this power and authority on him.

The spirit of the antichrist is already on the earth and has been for the last 2,000 years. How do we know when people have the spirit of the antichrist? By their fruit. 2 John 1:7 warns us about the spirit of the antichrist. The fruit of the spirit of the antichrist is deception. There are many deceivers everywhere, who are confusing people about the doctrine of Jesus Christ. The spirit of antichrist challenged the Word of God like Satan did in the garden of Eden. The spirit of antichrist brings doubt into our minds and causes us to question the movement of God. The spirit of antichrist comes against the Word of God. We must believe that whole Word of God. The Word of God does not change and does not need to change to fit the changing times. We do not need to compromise the Word of God in order to minister to the new generation. It doesn’t matter how much this world changes, God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The spirit of antichrist is with those who teach things that are not in the Word of God.

Matthew 24:24 and 1 John 2:18-22 warns us about the antichrist. We must be watchful. The spirit of antichrist is already working on the church, on the pastor, on the leadership. The spirit of antichrist wants to destroy the leadership of the church, to ruin their testimony and relationship with God. There is a lot of hidden sin in the church. Why? Because the spirit of antichrist has done a good job destroying holiness in the church. If there is no holiness in the church, there is no anointing, no healing, no salvation, and no fire. The spirit of antichrist must be cast out of the church. We must pray, so that we can overcome. You are strong when you pray. You are powerful when you pray. You can preach boldly when you pray. You will know who you are in Christ when you pray. You will overcome through prayer because spiritual strength comes through prayer.

God bless you!

  1. I had never put together those passages from both Daniel and Revelation in that way… I can see what you are saying now Pastor Sun Hui East.

  2. I’m so glad that you are talking about prayer… it should be our mode of survival. When our prayers get weak, so do we!

  3. That is true, the Word of God does not change and never needs to change. He has promised us that “all things” will pass away, but His Words will never pass away!

    1. It’s actually frightening to realize that everything we see and understand will pass away in God’s time, I need to make sure my heart is right!
