Revelation chapter 12, part 1

The book of Revelation tells us about the end times. We don’t want to be left behind. Revelation, chapters 1-3 talk about seven churches. Then after Chapter 3, there is no mention of the church. The church is gone. Chapter 4 talks about heaven.

In Revelation 12:1-2, the Bible says a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet. Who is this woman? The Bible calls Israel a woman. This is not talking about the church, but Israel. According to Scripture, the church is the bride of Christ.

Chapter 12 tells us why Satan hates Israel so much, why Satan hates you. Look back at your life. How many times has Satan tried to destroy you? He is always after your life, before you get saved and afterwards. Just like that, Satan tries to destroy Israel because they gave birth to the Savior.

Revelation 12:3-5 says that the woman gave birth: Jesus Christ was born of Israel. Jesus was not just a normal man, but the Savior of all creation. Ever since the prophecy in Genesis 3, Satan has been trying to destroy the promise of the Messiah.

What will happen after Jesus comes with the angels, what we call the rapture? It could happen any time. The Bible tells us that no one knows when it will happen. During the first 3.5 years, there will be so much peace. The economy will be good. Everything will seem wonderful. But during the next 3.5 years, it be terrible.

We have a great chance right now to know God and serve God and follow God. Right now it is very easy for us to make the choice to follow God, to make a commitment to God. In the time of tribulation, it will be very difficult to serve God. You will pay a very high price. You will eventually lose your life for the name of Christ. It will be a time of torment and persecution. It is much better to make a choice for God right now. You have a wonderful chance right now to get right with God. You don’t want to be left behind.

God bless you!

  1. I always look forward to reading your post! Yes! Jesus is the savior of mankind and He is calling us to serve Him with a clean heart so we can hear the trumpet when He comes for His bride. Satan is real too, seeking who he may devour, but greater is He in me than he that is in the world. Appreciate your teaching Pastor.

  2. I love what you’re saying about having a chance during this time to serve God. Praise God Pastor Sun Hui East!

  3. We are definitely in the end times. Revelation has messages that are vital to believers and non believers. Keep teaching this powerful message.

  4. This is a very sound teaching. Totally scripture driven. Pastor Sun hui East is led by the holy Spirit. Thank You Jesus.

  5. I certainly don’t want to be left behind! I agree that if I can’t serve God now, how can I do it during the tribulation? It makes me wonder what kind of Christian I am to think I can wait to truly serve God?

  6. Despite all that my son has been through since his bout with drugs & homelessness, he is continuing to remain clean and free! I wanted to thank you again Pastor Sun Hui East, and your church, for taking my son into your drug rehab program 13 years ago. I can’t believe it’s been that long, but God is good!

  7. Lord I want to be rapture ready! Pastor Sun East I really enjoy your teaching, be encouraged and keep speaking the truth.

  8. This does inspire me to take the gospel more seriously! We may be living in the very last generation of people on earth… sad, I know we are not good examples of passionate, Christ followers.

  9. All this talk about the end of the world is not encouraging anyone Pastor Sun Hui East. Why don’t you “preach” about something positive?

    1. Hi Markus,
While it is always more enjoyable to preach something positive, it is critical that we speak the truth during these last days. It is my desire (and God’s) that as many people as possible go to heaven and live eternally with Him. We must be aware of what the Bible says is coming, so that we can prepare.
      God bless you,
      Pastor Sun
