“Circumcise Your Lips” reminds Pastor Sun East

God wants us to circumcise ourselves in 4 different areas: our lips, our ears, our heart, and our hands. In Acts 7:51-53, Stephen said that his persecutors were uncircumcised. They were circumcised in the flesh, but not in the spirit (Romans 2:29)

This earth is not our home. Our eternal home is either heaven or hell. If you want to make it to heaven, you must circumcise your heart. We betray God when our hearts are not circumcised.

Circumcision is our covenant with God. To be circumcised means that we separate from all evil, live a holy and pure life, and keep our bodies and homes clean.

Exodus 6:12 and Isaiah 6:1-5 both speak about circumcised lips. God has been grieving about the way we’ve been speaking. He is grieved that, in this nation, we are allowed to freely speak of evil, but are persecuted for speaking the truth about heaven and hell.

Uncircumcised lips destroy other people. God gave us lips so that we may pray, speak in love, and worship Him but we’ve been using our lips to curse our own lives through criticism and negative speaking. God wants us to clean our lips, to make them circumcised. Use them to bless others, to serve Him.

God bless you!

  10. I had not ever really understood these passages in the Bible, but reading this post makes the symbology very clear. Thank you Pastor Sun Hui East. I know that we need to see the Lord’s design for our spiritual growth.

  11. This is a message about changing our plans, hearts and ideas. God wants us to surrender to Him. I know this through personal experience and I owe my very life to God as He answered my prayers one night. I was going to end my life, but was still calling out to God because of my fear of death. I felt Him answer me, but call me into repentance. I had to make huge changes, but He helped me and guided me, through His Scriptures, with every step. thank you Jesus, and thank you Pastor Sun Hui East.

  12. It grieves me when I think of how my words could have or have hurt others. I definitely want to circumcise my lips daily so I don’t harm others with my mouth!
