LostSheep w_Scripture

Just like Jesus came to find the lost, our calling and ministry is to find those who are lost, broken, wounded, or hurting.

No matter what else God has called you to do or what ministry area that you serve in, every Christian is also called to preach the gospel. So you should never say that you don’t know what your ministry is or that you don’t know what God wants you to do. God wants you to preach the gospel. Open your mouth and tell others about what God has done in your life.

Luke 15:4-7
“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.”

There is great joy in heaven when one of God’s lost children is found. Your job is to help find them!

God bless you,
Pastor Sun Hui East

  1. Amen! Yes, Jesus came to set the example for us… He spent all His time telling people about the kingdom of heaven. Because of this, we know that we must do the same. Great scripture passage Pastor Sun Hui East, thank you for all you do to honor His kingdom!

  2. One of my favorite passages in the Bible, so glad to see you posting Pastor Sun Hui East, makes me feel like I’m still part of your ministry. Thank you

  3. We should always be strong & confident in the Lord, I know that’s what you are teaching us through this blog Pastor Sun Hui East.

  4. My mother had me memorize scripture when I was young. I actually loved doing it until I reached high school and started focusing on boys & clothes. Those things took my heart & even though I still read the Bible & prayed, Jesus wasn’t in my thoughts the way He was before the “idols” took over my mind. Anyway, I memorized this passage & loved it, thank you for posting Pastor Sun Hui East!

  5. I know that if one of my kids was missing, I’d almost forget about the “safe” ones as I rushed out to look for the missing one! It’s nice to know that the Lord loves us that much. I would like true understanding of His love, it’s actually hard to fathom… I love your post Pastor Sun Hui East. Thank you for loving God’s people!

  6. I always loved serving the Lord when I was part of your church Pastor Sun Hui East, you brought a lot of joy to my life by leading me in this! I’ll always remember the days we spent on Colfax, talking to the hurting homeless people, and I think often of our trips to Mexico where I saw so many miracles. Thank you for the great memories, I am here praying for all of you, God bless you in San Antonio!

  7. Great scripture passage Pastor Sun Hui East. I am still forwarding these to my co-workers each week and getting good responses! Thank you!

  8. I can see that Christians get caught up in what the think their specific ministry is, to the exclusion of just “preaching the gospel” as Jesus clearly lays out in the Great Commission. I believe this is just an easy way out because of feelings of insecurity. I believe that we often feel that we won’t do a good job leading someone to Christ, so we say “that’s someone else’s calling”…thank you for taking that excuse away Astor Sun Hui East. We need to take full responsibility for being “doers” of the WORD.
