Pastor Sun East’s scripture of the week

How do you know if someone belongs to God or not? By their fruit. If someone belongs to Jesus, they will have the fruit of love, joy, self-control, kindness, the fruit of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5. You will know someone by the fruit of their character and heart, not just of their actions or works.

Matthew 7:16-20
“You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.”

If your heart is filled with Jesus, you will live like Him. You will do what He did when He lived here on the earth: pray, preach, love, comfort, heal, and serve.

  1. That is SO true about how we would act if we were truly imitating Jesus. We absolutely would be exhibiting the fruits of the spirit, we would be unselfish & we would serve others with a grateful, joyful attitude. ( how different than we usually act…myself included!) I’m glad you are putting verses up mid week Pastor Sun Hui East, I appreciate you.
